Chuck Schaden's Conversations with the Stars Who Made it Golden

THOSE WERE THE DAYS 25th ANNIVERSARY EVENT

To mark the Silver Anniversary of Chuck Schaden’s long-running radio program, a special event was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Swissotel in Chicago and broadcast the following week on the TWTD radio program.

Part 1 — Opening remarks by Museum of Broadcast Communications
President Bruce DuMont who honors Chuck Schaden who, in turn, introduces and interviews special guests Shirley Bell Cole (radio’s Little Orphan Annie), Bill Idleson (“Rush” of Vic and Sade”) and Fred Foy (long-time announcer on The Lone Ranger). (Approx. 47 minutes).

Part 2 — Chuck presents a “mini-version of TWTD” featuring the day’s special guests and many members of the Those Were The Days Radio Players in re-enactments of Little Orphan Annie, Vic and Sade, the Lone Ranger, Charlie McCarthy Show and The Bickersons. Ken Alexander presents The Mighty Metro Art Players. (Approx. 100 minutes).
